Korea's TOP-class research center specialized in AI and Data Law
AI·data are the core technologies of the 4th industrial revolution and have become the protagonist of the future era. The Korean government is implementing a policy to raise rapidly the competitiveness of AI and data fields which are the core of the digital new deal policy in the post-corona era. For this purpose, they will promote technological innovation such as growing AI semiconductors as a second DRAM, and build infrastructure to use strongly data. Like you see, we met the era in which securing and utilizing AI·data technologies is very important. However, we must consider seriously the dark side that may cause the marginalized characters. It is because they lead to the damage of data monopoly, invasion of privacy due to leakage of personal information, and risk of falling into the surveillance society due to control of personal information, although AI·data technologies bring convenience to us.
For this, we start with a new research project “Re-establishment of law and ethics in the innovation era of data economy and data-driven”. This is based on the vision of the Law Research Institute of the Inha University such as 'Leading the research field for establishing a new order in the era of digital transformation.' We plan to continue research activities to set a harmonious boundary among AI, protection and utilization of data, and their adverse effects.
It is an important time for interdisciplinary convergence research and multidisciplinary consideration related to research projects of our center. We ask for your continued support and cooperation.
